Two Barons for the Salisbury Baron's Trail

Sue designed and painted two Barons for the Salisbury Barons trail 2015. One called the Green Man Baron and the other Baron Loveheart. The Green man Baron is cloaked in the foliage of the seasons. Draping his shoulders is Hawthorn and May blossom, representing spring. Summertime has oak leaves and acorns. The autumn has rich orange leaves and winter has icy blues encasing the holly and berries. The sword is decorated with Yew berries and blossom. This Baron celebrates the countryside foliage and folklore. It is sponsored by Waitrose supermarket. The Baron Loveheart is covered in the love heart sweets with lots of fun messages. Very pink! He is sponsored by the Trussel Trust. The trail celebrates the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta.

This was such a lovely project to work on. I enjoyed having these two five foot Barons in my studio.
