The Beekeeper Baron
The Beekeeper Baron was designed and painted by Susan Webber for Lincoln's Barons Trail 2015, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the signing of the Magna Carta. This Baron was sponsored by E.H. Thorne Beehives Ltd. The Baron has the modern day beehives and equipment and has a soft honey coloured face. The back is decorated with a Medieval monk tending the skeps, this was inspired by the medieval illuminated manuscripts. The honey bees fly over his shoulder and morph into medieval bees.
